Petit Renouil

Petit Renouil is the second wine of our Chateau Grand Renouil. Our family started producing this wine in 1954, on the impulse of the women of our family who developed a real fondness for this very smooth wine, combining high quality, soft tannins and an exceptional fragrance. The Petit Renouil vineyard is located on the same beautiful Renouil hillside, but is made from the “younger” 40-year-old vines.

Tasting notes

Petit Renouil shows a dark red color with ruby glints. Best appreciated 3 to 10 years after its vintage, this wine will reveal an intense and fragrant nose marrying aromas of berries (blackberry, black currant) and spices. The palate is smooth, well balanced, fruity and elegant, perfect for wine drinkers who prefer soft and delicate tannins.

When to drink it?

Petit Renouil is our most versatile wine. While it feels perfect when you just want a glass of wine when you’re cooking in the evening, it will also be the right match for a juicy roast chicken or a beef roast on a Sunday lunch. With its smooth tannins, we particularly love it for date night.
