Château du Pavillon - 2019

Château du Pavillon is my family's historic wine, the one that roots me here.

From a sandy vineyard at the bottom of a slope, this 100% Merlot is crafted with the aim of striking a balance between substance, freshness, and finesse.

Aging is done gently, in demi-muids and tanks, to support the wine without marking it. Above all, I seek to preserve the natural texture of Merlot, its roundness, without ever making it heavy.

The wine develops over time, on a supple and enveloping structure.

On the nose, aromas of ripe black fruits, with a subtly spicy touch.
On the palate, the body is ample, warm, with melted tannins and a beautiful soft texture, always carried by discreet freshness.

It's a wine that can be enjoyed young for its generous character, or aged for a few years to gain depth.
