Welcome
Domaine Ponty is the property where I grew up, running through the rows of vines, the vat room where I watched my father work, the buildings where my great-grandfather had imagined our first vintages. After studying law and business, I went to live abroad, first in the United States then in China, and finally, through circuitous paths, the desire came to me to return to Fronsac and take over the property, to put my own touch on this long family tradition, which I did in September 2019.
Nature has always played a vital role when I needed to recharge and find inspiration. I wanted my estate to have the same effect on those who passed through it, whether quickly or for a longer stay. That's why my primary goal is to create an overall environment that is pleasant for all stakeholders in the vineyard. First, the vines, which must thrive on living soils, rich in organic matter and biodiversity, but also my team, our customers, the fauna and flora that live or pass through our vineyards, our neighbors… everyone who interacts with us in one way or another.

An Organic and Biodynamic Vineyard
Of all the properties I have visited in France and around the world, I have seen that there were some where one simply felt good. The soils seemed richer, the vines more beautiful, the environment more diverse, and the wines more alive. These properties were always organic or biodynamic, and so it was natural for me to turn to these vineyard management methods.
This is a major, long-term project that I am carrying out within a small appellation, Canon Fronsac, which offers some of the most beautiful landscapes in the Bordeaux region. Come and visit us to discover our estate and our wines!
In France, delivery is free for orders of 12 bottles or more (mixed cases possible!)
